Personally? I really don't know why I can't run a mile. My body just gives out at around the 3/4 point and just can't do anymore. No matter how slow I take it. Pathetic, huh? Might have something to do with the fact that my only excersise has ever really been swimming.. and I swim entirely with my arms.

Thanks for asking :]

I sympathize with your loss, Boone. Of course you're allowed a little slip especially for family matters. Keep on goin. As for me, I'm warming up at 5.1mph for 5 minutes now (of course not at max effort, just breathing through nose). It's soo much better than from when I started. I'm still scared of the stairmaster, but I do it anyway... GRRR...

I have taken a break from the maddness of working out. My father passed away at age 57 from cancer. With all the arrangements and hectic schedules I have allowed myself to slip a little.

However, I am back into the swing. I have worked out Sat and Sun and have realized that I did not loose too much steam, just a little sluggish.

Hey! you're nearing your goal! That's awesome! I'm happy for you. I felt so bad I haven't replied back to you since you really were on my case when I needed some motivation. Yes, motivation is hard to come by especially when I stare back at dessert menus in restaurants. I didn't notice 'til now that you were from chicago. My mom was working at mercy hosp... but we lived in skokie. . By the way, where's the before/after pics you promised? Check ya later--G

Thanks, nice to have a little encouragement with different things here. You're right, one thing at a time, deep breath...

And great job on your consistency and progress, best wishes in 08!

I will be posting before and during pictures after Jan 1, 2008. Please be nice!

Obviously I have not met my goal . . . :(
I do not see losing 20lbs in 2 weeks a good situation to put myself in.
However, I feel that I have been replacing fat with muscle and that has been tipping the scales.

I have not skipped more than 1 day in any week for the last 6 months.
I feel much better despite having bad back problems, of which I will have MRI
to find out underlaying issues.

All in all, I feel progress has been made
and want to say . . . THANKS to everyone who has cheered me on.

yeah. I'm back! Thanks for the concern. I just hadn't had the time to fill the log thing. I know this thing is supposed to keep me honest, but I'm thinking of putting a classified in craigslist to be a volunteer "motivator"... prerequisite: must attend my gym and be available early mornings or late nights, on call... HAH! I'm only half serious... hehe.

Yea, the circuit training is really burning calories. It's such a pain in the ass, but it works.

Ha, the exact same time I got your comment, I was journaling to myself of how I think I need to get away from numbers on the scale. I will keep eating as healthy as I can, exercising my butt off, and hope for the best. Crazy? Looks like your weight is going in the right direction, excellent, keep it up!
